How do I book a rental with Adventures on Wheels?

You can check the price on our website or call our office. When you are ready to book, you can submit an availability request online or call. Our reservations team will get back to you as soon as possible as to whether or not it has been approved. Once we have approved your availability request and have charged a deposit your booking is confirmed.

How far in advance should I book?

We suggest that you make your reservation as early as possible, especially if you intend to travel during the peak season. However, we also have vehicles available at short notice, but we cannot guarantee them.

Can I do one-way trips?

Yes, but a one-way fee may be applicable.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, wire transfer and personal checks.

Are the vehicles insured?

Yes, all our cars and sleeper vans come with Basic Liability Insurance. Our RVs have a Collision Damage Waiver in addition to the Basic Liability Insurance. Supplemental Liability Insurance is available at an additional cost for all wheels. You can purchase a Collision Damage Waiver for cars and sleeper vans as well.

What is a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)?

Good news, all our RVs already come with CDW. For our cars and sleeper vans you can opt for this additional insurance. CDW will cover damage to your vehicle with a $500 deductible in case of a collision or accident.

What is Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI)?

SLI protects you against claims from others for bodily injury and property damage caused by you. All authorized drivers on your rental agreement will have an increased limit of liability protection for up to $1,000,000 toward third party damage claims. Please read the terms and conditions here.

Can I travel to Mexico or Canada?

You can travel to Canada with all our vehicles, however, you are not allowed to cross the border into Mexico.

What is the minimum age to rent with Adventures on Wheels?

Our minimum age for cars and sleeper vans is 21. You need to be 25 years old to rent a RV.

Is there a charge for additional drivers?

No, we do not have an additional charge for additional drivers. We believe that adventures on wheels are meant to be shared with others.

What are the pick-up and drop-off times?

Pick-up of your vehicle is between 1:00PM and 4:00PM from Monday to Friday and noon to 1:00PM on Saturday. Please call our office 1-3 days prior to make an appointment for your pick-up. We will need to assign you a team member to provide you with an explanation of the vehicle and to process your paperwork, which will take about an hour. Drop-off is between 8:00AM and 10:30AM.

How do I get camping equipment?

If you are traveling in a sleeper van or a RV you can rent a convenience kit ($70/person, free of charge for children under 6). A convenience kit contains bedding, towels and kitchen equipment.

How do I get to the Adventures on Wheels offices?

We have a free and convenient shuttle service between our locations and airports. Otherwise, you can reach our locations by public transport or taxi services. We are happy to provide you with specific information for every location.

How many miles are included?

Cars and mini vans: 100 miles per day are included, you can upgrade to unlimited miles for $9/day.

Sleeper vans: 100 miles per day are included, you can buy additional miles as 100 mile packages for $22 or pay $0.25/mile plus tax.

RVs: you can buy 100 mile packages for $42 or pay $0.45/mile plus tax.

Can I park my personal vehicle at Adventures on Wheels during my trip?

Yes, this should not be a problem.

What should I do if the vehicle breaks down?

You should call Adventures on Wheels immediately (1-800-9433579, toll free number) and we will assist and advise you over the phone.

What is your cancellation policy?

Up to 31 days prior to departure date: 20% of rental price will NOT be refunded. (Minimum $300)
30 days to 8 days prior to departure date: 50% of rental price will NOT be refunded. (Minimum $300)
7 days to 4 days prior to departure date: 75% of rental price will NOT be refunded. (Minimum $300)
3 days or less prior to departure date and no-shows: 100% of rental price will be kept.

Note: Fees lost due to cancellation may be credited towards your next rental with us within 365 days.
